On November 28, 2024, the event “Connecting the Adriatic-Ionian Region through Advanced Technology and Training for the Energy Transition in the Port Sector” took place in Trieste. We contributed to organizing the event on behalf of CEI, the FVG Region and the EUSAIR macroregion.
The event brought together experts and professionals to discuss how to innovate port training in light of the ongoing energy transition.
Thanks to numerous contributions from representatives of institutions, academia and industry, diverse and complementary approaches emerged to develop skills aligned with the technological and environmental transformations required by sector legislation and the EU’s climate neutrality goals. A roundtable discussion provided insights into best practices and challenges, thus offering concrete ideas for building targeted training paths to prepare Adriatic-Ionian ports and operators for future challenges.
