On 6th October 2022, as part of Green Logistics Expo 2022, the meeting “Nodes as drivers of European transport networks: the role of Rail-Road Terminals” was held. It saw the participation of representatives of several institutions and stakeholders at the national and European level, including Unione Interporti Riuniti (U.I.R.), the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility, Europlatform, RAM and CINEA.
After an overview of the intermodal logistics platform sector at national and European level and a focus on the development prospects of the next TEN-T regulation, it was the turn of the two coordinators of the Mediterranean (Mrs. Iveta Radicova) and Baltic-Adriatic corridors (Mrs. Anne Jensen), who reaffirmed the importance of these nodes in the development of the European TEN-T network for an intermodal and sustainable mobility of both people and goods.
