On November 26, a site visit took place with CINEA to provide an overview of the interventions carried out by CEPIM at the Parma Freight Village as part of the UPaRTT (“UPgrading Parma Rail-Road Terminal”) project, funded by the CEF Programme.
The works, which are now almost completed, will significantly increase the volume of goods managed at the freight village, potentially handling up to 500,000 tons per year in the long term, thus supporting the modal shift of goods from road to rail. The new terminal will strengthen Parma’s position as a key logistics hub and contribute to making freight transport more sustainable and efficient.
