The closing event of the VENETO INTERMODAL Action, funded by the CINEA through the CEF Program, was held on the 1st of March at the Consorzio ZAI headquarters (Verona), with the presence of SCANMED Corridor Coordinator Mr. Pat Cox.
The project brought together, in addition to the lead partner Consorzio ZAI, the Veneto Region, the Port System Authority of the Northern Adriatic Sea – Ports of Chioggia and Venice and RFI Rete Ferroviaria Italiana to develop concrete actions aimed at optimizing the intermodal system of the Veneto Region.
An interesting round table discussion on the topic of the upcoming development of the Brenner Pass was also held on this occasion in the presence of authoritative representatives of territorial stakeholders. Finally, at the conclusion of the morning, the inauguration of the first safe parking lot for heavy vehicles built as part of the PASS4CORE project took place.
